    Tips for signing PDFs

    • For a photo: sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, in good light, and fill the photo with the signature.
    • Use Duplicate to put the same signature on another place or page.
    • Add text for your name and the date next to the signature.
    • Need to change words too? Use the PDF Editor.

    Questions

How do I sign a PDF?

Open your PDF, draw your signature (or upload a photo of it) and tap Add signature. Drag it into place, resize it with the round handle, then tap Save PDF.

Can I use a photo of my signature?

Yes. Choose Upload a photo, then move the Clean-up slider until only the ink is left. The paper becomes transparent, so the signature sits cleanly on the document.

Can I sign on more than one page?

Yes. Select the signature and tap Duplicate, then drag the copy to the next page, or use "Use my last signature".

Is this a digital (certificate) signature?

No. It places a picture of your handwritten signature, which is what most forms and letters ask for. Certificate-based digital signatures need a certificate from an authority.

Is my PDF or signature uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser and is never uploaded.

Is a signature added here legally valid?

The signature is a picture placed on the page — not a digital signature or certificate, and GoToolVerse does not check who signed. Whether a signed document is accepted is up to the organisation that receives it, and you are responsible for signing only what you are allowed to sign. See our Terms of use.
