Tips for working with JSON
- Text and keys need double quotes: "name", not 'name' or name.
- No comma after the last item: [1, 2, 3] — not [1, 2, 3,].
- Use the Tree view to find a value in a big response, then copy its path (like $.orders[0].total) for your code or tests.
- Large IDs like 12345678901234567890 are kept exactly — they are never rounded here.

How do I format JSON?
Paste your JSON or open a .json file. It is checked and formatted as you type. Choose 2 spaces, 4 spaces or Tab, then tap Copy or Download.
How do I find the error in my JSON?
The problem is shown with its exact line and column, the line itself with the spot marked, and a plain explanation such as "Remove the comma before the closing }". Tap Show in my JSON to jump straight to it.
What can "Fix it for me" repair?
Comments, a comma after the last item, 'single quotes', keys without quotes, True / False / None, NaN, missing commas between items, line breaks inside text and brackets that were never closed. It lists every change it made so you can check the result.
How do I minify JSON?
Choose Minify. All spaces and line breaks are removed, which makes the file as small as possible for sending or storing.
What does Sort keys do?
It puts the keys of every object in A to Z order, at every level. This makes two JSON files easy to compare. The order of items in lists is never changed.
Are big numbers changed?
No. Many tools round long numbers such as 12345678901234567890. Here numbers and text are written back exactly as they were, and duplicate keys are kept and pointed out.
How do I get the path to a value?
Open the Tree view and tap the value. Its path, such as $.orders[0].total, appears above the tree — tap Path to copy it, or Value to copy the value itself.
Is my JSON uploaded?
No. It is read in your browser and is never uploaded, so it is safe for API keys, tokens and private data.
How large can the JSON be?
Files up to 50 MB can be opened. Very large results are shown without colours to keep the page fast, and the tree opens one branch at a time.
