Tips for editing PDFs
- To change a word, choose Edit text and tap the line — the old text is taken out and your new text takes its place.
- Sign forms with Sign: draw once with your finger, then drag and resize the signature.
- Whiteout paints over things (text under it can still be copied); Undo brings anything back before you save.
- Scanned pages are pictures: use Whiteout and Add text on them for now.
Questions
How do I edit the text in a PDF?
Open your PDF, choose Edit text and tap the line you want to change. The old words are taken out of the PDF and your new text is written in their place, in a matching size and colour.
Does Whiteout remove what it covers?
Whiteout paints over things, so they can't be seen, but text under it may still be found by copy or search. To really change words, use Edit text — replaced lines are removed from the PDF.
Can I sign a PDF?
Yes. Tap Sign, draw your signature with your finger or mouse, then drag it into place and resize it with the round handle. You can also add a photo of your signature with Image.
Is there a limit on files or edits?
No. The editor is free and unlimited — no sign-up, no hourly limits, no watermark.
Can I type in Hindi?
Not yet. Text you add or change can use English and other Latin letters for now. Hindi already in your PDF stays as it is.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
A scan is a picture of paper, so its words can't be changed directly yet. Use Whiteout to cover something and Add text to write on top.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It opens and is saved in your browser, so it is never uploaded.
Can I use an edited PDF for official purposes?
GoToolVerse only changes the file on your device — it does not certify, verify or approve documents. You are responsible for using edited documents lawfully, and whether one is accepted is up to the organisation you send it to. Never alter a document to mislead anyone. See our Terms of use.
